Roads
Roads and Highways are one of our Groups core
strengths in the Transport Sector. Our involvement in the sector
ranges from advising on institutional infrastructure at national
and local administration level, through the planning and design of
complex urban roads and rural strategic routes to construction
supervision and technology transfer for developing countries. Our
Groups experience covers the whole of the project cycle from data
collection through analysis and planning to feasibility and
economic studies and then onto route planning and statutory
procedures, detailed design, value for money/ risk analysis,
construction engineering, procurement, site supervision and project
review/audit to management and maintenance of the asset. Our
capability includes specialist expertise in bridges, viaducts,
tunnels, pavement engineering, intelligent transport systems, 3D
visualisation and environmental aspects enabling us to design
creative and high value solutions.
Our basic skills have developed through use of
the latest design tools including GIS route analysis and computer
generated visulisation techniques. In addition we have expanded our
capability in project and programme management and in the area of
day to day operations, management and maintenance of the network.
Our knowledge of procurement and statutory processes has expanded
by direct involvement and expertise in major schemes using
traditional procurement, alternative designs, design and build,
Early Contractor Involvement and Design Build Finance and
Operate.
Our added value comes from our staff who have unrivalled
experience in the sector. We are able to bring together our core
staff from our worldwide resource and augment them with in-house
specialist skills appropriate to the task for example:
Architects, Planners, Economists, Landscape Architects and
Environmentalists. Our operations are managed from skill centres in
UK, Ireland, Poland, India, China and South East Asia with
additional local offices set up to meet client and project demands.
